Micro Grants
Eligibility and Use of Grant Funds
Upon completion of the training and action plan development, churches will be able to apply for two micro grants up to $500 to assist in the implementation of a health fair, screening event, or a health presentation. Grant funds are to be used solely for the requested event. If the funded event is cancelled and not rescheduled, the funds are to be returned to funder. Additionally, any unused grant funds are to be returned to funder. Maximum available funds may fluctuate depending on availability.
Submission
Micro grant applications should be submitted by January 2024. Preferably requests should be submitted at least 60 days in advance of event. Grant checks take a minimum of 30 days and possibly up to 60 days for processing. Event happening sooner than 60 days? If accepted you can be refunded for expenses. Grant checks are payable in the church’s name. Please send materials FHIA@tranow.com. Grantees will be notified of any decisions within 2 weeks of receiving the application via phone call and email.
Right to decline
The goal of the micro grant program is to supplement the costs of building a healthier congregation and community. However, based on the application review, The FaithHealth in Action program may reserve the right to decline to fund a micro grant application. The most successful applications will include all requested materials, especially a justification for why the funds are needed and a budget outlining how the funds will be spent.
