Carol Milgard Breast Center welcomes New Executive Director
Tacoma, WA—The Carol
Milgard Breast Center (CMBC) is pleased to announce Leanne Noren as its new
Executive Director. Leanne will be starting in her role on October 1,
2018.
Leanne comes to CMBC with over 25 years of local non-profit experience,
most recently serving as the Executive Director of Pierce County Project
Access. Leanne was the founding Executive Director of Pierce County
Project Access and has led that organization since 2009. Leanne grew
Project Access to an organization of 670 volunteer medical practitioners who
donated $39 million in care to more than 3,000 low-income people in Pierce
County since 2010. Leanne’s focus and leadership allowed for very rapid growth
of the PCPA network and excellent retention rate of volunteers. PCPA’s patient
no-show rate in 2017 was .5% and reduction in ED usage was 45%.
Leanne began her career at the American Lung Association of the
Northwest. Initially her role included coordinating lung disease education
groups and asthma camps for children. Over 18 years, she became Chief Operating
Officer and Vice President of Programs overseeing staff in the Northwest
Territory (Alaska, Idaho, and Washington), directing program implementation and
the special events department.
In addition to her roles in the non-profit arena, Leanne coached
collegiate softball locally at PLU and St. Martins University respectively for
25 years with her husband Rick. She is involved in her church and other
community activities, enjoys walks with friends, gardening, reading and
creating. Leanne graduated from the University of Puget Sound and resides
in University Place with her husband and their three teenage children.
